I hate funerals.
It’s not that I don’t appreciate the sentiments, but I’ve found that people are more willing to bring casseroles than they are to hang around and help clean up. Grabbing a trash bag, I gathered the cups and plates and recovered a slice of pecan pie someone had abandoned in the Elephant Ear plant.
